January 8, 2008; Sturgeon Bay, WI - -
Welcome drivers, to the 2008 season. We are having a meeting
on Friday, January 18th at 7:00p.m. The meeting will be held
at The Ladder House in the upstairs banquet hall. We would
like to see all drivers, new and old. There will be a number
of things to discuss at this meeting.
We will be going over 1st and 2nd row pit spots. To hold your
previous spot you will need to have paid for it in full,
before or on the date of the meeting, otherwise it will be put
up for lottery. The prices for pit spots are the same, $100.00
for 1st row, and $50.00 for second row. Any other pit spot
being reserved in all remaining rows will also be $50.00. The
name on the pit spot is responsible for that spot. A list of
pit spots and names are included in this letter. Second row
will be strictly enforced again this year. Don’t assume there
are open spots; there is as much interest in 2nd row as there
is for 1st row.
Included in the meeting will be a rules discussion of all the
classes, and all of the changes and any new things that are
happening at the racetrack. Also we will be handing out your
10-99’s for the 2007 season. Everyone who is not at the
meeting will have them mailed to you. Everyone should
participate in this meeting, because we will be discussing a
lawsuit that will affect both the drivers, and the racetrack.
Unfortunately, do to the lack of participation we will no
longer have the bomber class beginning in the 2008 season.
Only 4 cars ran for 80% of the time last year, and that is not
enough. The classes that will be running for points are the
IMCA Mods, Sport mods, Stock cars, Hobby Stocks, Street
Stocks, and 4-cylinders. 2008 rules for all classes and IMCA
licenses will be available.
We are currently working on figuring out our reps for the 2008
season. There will be openings for the IMCA Sport Mods, IMCA
Modified, and possibly the 4-cylinder classes. If interested,
please contact me at the number below. We will be voting for
who would be the best rep in those classes.
Any questions and concerns that you may have will be discussed
at the meeting.
Sincerely,
Bryan “Woody” Wodack
