Shawn Havel wrested the lead away from Mike Weitor in the
opening laps
Stock Car Feature. Havel was able to open up a sizable lead
until a series of caution. This bunched the field and put
Cory Cochart in second place.
Cochart was able to snatch the lead away from Havel with
four to go. The duo ran side by side for the lead, until the
last lap where Cochart would bobble and slide high allowing
Havel to regain the lead and pick up the win. Crossing
the line second; Cochart, Bernie Reinhardt, and Doug Kropp
rounding out the top 4.
Jeremy Jacobs would lead the first two circuits of the
Modified headliner before Newly Crown ThunderHill Mod Champ,
Benji LaCrosse made his presence felt taking over the
top spot. Paul Parker then quickly shot to second.
Lacrosse was out to a commanding lead when the caution would
fly, setting up a 9 lap dash to the finish. On the restart
Parker would try and use the low line to make a pass for the
lead, but it was LaCrosse who found enough bite to pull away
and win his second feature of the weekend. Parker second,
closely followed by Jacobs and Brian Drexler.
Pete Parker would use his front row starting spot to take
command of the WDLMA A-main event. By midway, Parker would
encounter heavy lap traffic allowing Rick Scheffler and Tom
Naeyaert to pull up to the leaders rear bumper. As the laps
waned down Parker was able to clear himself of the lap cars
and reestablish his sizeable lead going on to win the $2000
purse. The battle for second would go to Rick Scheffler,
followed by Naeyaert, Bret Sievert and point leader coming
into the night, Russ Scheffler.
06’ and 07’ Hobby Stock Champion Keith Kickbusch would out
duel the 07’ Wis. State Champ Dave Degrave and pick up the
feature win. Third was Jeff Lautenbach, and fourth to
Brandon Peterson.
Luke Lemmens would hold off 07’ 4cyl Champ Tony Everard to
win the 4cyl
feature.
Jesse Kroll picked up the Sport Mod win.
