Roger Laviolette used his inside 2nd row startingposition to
grab the lead early on in the IMCA Hobby Stock Feature. The
caution waved on lap four when Jarred VanLaanen spun Aaron
Zellner. On the restart, Dave DeGrave jumped to the outside of
Laviolette and quickly grabbed the lead. DeGrave would
continue to cruise until a caution with two laps to go set up
a green, white, checker finish. DeGrave was able to fight off
VanLaanen, over the last two laps to pick up the win.

#32 Terry Anvelink used his pole position to jump out to an
early leading the 30-Lap WDLMA Late Model feature, but it
was #10 Pete Parker that put on some heavy pressure with the
two drivers swapping position several times. Anvelink
eventually earned his $2,000 pay day. Parker finished
second followed by Russ Scheffler, Tom Naeyaert, and Troy
Springborn.
Local Late Model track champions #9 Tom Naeyaert and #81
Troy Springborn,
both from Shawano, looked good battling up front of the
WDLMA Late Model feature on Wednesday. Naeyaert and
Springborn finished fourth and fifth respectively.
Mishicot's #4k Kyle Kudick shot
inside and went on to cruise to his first career IMCA
Modified feature. Kudick, a 2007 race season mod rookie
driver, was followed by Jared Siefert, Shawn Kilgore, Todd
Dart, and Benji LaCrosse.
#21cz Tim
Czarneski led the early stages of the IMCA Modified feature
until #4k Kyle Kudick shot inside and went on to cruise to
his first career IMCA Modified feature. dominated the race
up to that point.

IMCA Mod #8 Jay Matthias of DePere and #10 Chris Derenne,
Luxemburg, clashed in
the mod semi-feature midweek. Matthias took home the
checkers from the consi.

Kewaunee's Eugene Gregorich won
the midweek IMCA Northern Sport Mod feature at Thunderhill
Raceway.
Northern Sport Mod #05 Dave Davister and #14 Aaron Holiday
went wheel-to-wheel in
a battle for third in their feature race.

Rick Mahlberg won the IMCA Stock Car feature on Wednesday.
It was Mahlberg's
first 2007 main event win, and his third top-3 feature
finish in the past four feature events.

Denmark's #6 Rick Mahlberg held off #8 Jay Matthias on the
last lap of the IMCA Stock Car feature race.

IMCA Hobby Stock #40d Dave DeGrave won his fifth feature at
the Wednesday door
Co. Fair opening special.

Early race leader #49 Roger LaViolette held the inside while
#40d Dave DeGrave
maneuvered to the outside to battle for the IMCA Hobby Stock
lead and the win. |
The IMCA Northern Sportmods had a couple of familiar faces
from the past in action Wednesday night. Tim McCormick lead
the opening few laps of the feature before mechanical woes
hit. Dave Davister inherited
the lead and set the pace right in front of Eugene Gregorich
and Tim Jorgenson. Gregorich and Jorgenson would make a
three-wide pass for the lead on lap 10. Jorgenson
would lead the next few laps before Gregorich took the lead
using the topside and cruised to victory. Jorgenson settled
for second followed by Aaron Holliday, Dave Davister, and
Tracy Wassenberg.
Jay Matthias wrestled the lead away from Don Aregoni in the
opening laps of the IMCA Stockcar feature. Matthias would
continue to run the top until a caution flew mid-way through
the race. Rick Mahlberg, Matt Junio, and Shawn Havel
wrestled for position on the restart with Mahlberg securing
second. With Matthias running up top Mahlberg took charge
down low. Mahlberg inched up lap after lap until the duo
were side by side at the white flag. Mahlberg used a good
run off of turn two and secured the #1 spot and the win.
Matthias was second followed by Havel, Junio, and visitor
Greg Gretz.
Tim Czarneski powered on the outside of Tom Stark to grab
the lead in the early stages of the IMCA Modified feature.
Czarneski would continue to lead until Kyle Kudick shot
inside and captured the lead. Kudick would never look back.
Jared Siefert and Shawn Kilgore spent the last half of the
feature battling for second. Kudick would cruise to his
first career IMCA Modified feature followed by Siefert,
Kilgore, Todd Dart, and Benji LaCrosse. The race went green
to checker.
The 30 lap Wisconsin Dirt Late Model Association feature
lived up to the hype. With lots of the area's top guys in
attendance putting on one spectacular race. Terry Anvelink
used his pole position to jump out to a big lead early in
the race. Anvelink would put the car in cruise control until
a caution on lap 9 slowed the field. On the restart, Pete
Parker passed Anvelink coming out of turn four. The duo was
joined by Russ Scheffler as they started working through
lapped traffic. Many times Anvelink tried the top only to
have Parker move up the track. Anvelink then muscled his way
passed Parker when there was contact out of turn two.
Anvelink would cruise to his $2000 pay day. Parker finished
second followed by Scheffler, Tom Naeyart, and Troy
Springborn.
This Saturday there will be no races because of the Door
County Fair. Racing will resume next Saturday August 18th.
All seven divisions will be in action with only two point
nights left in the season. The tracks website is
