Shryock Wins USMTS at Thunderhill

June 7th, 2006; Sturgeon Bay, WI. -
Kelly Shryock swept action in the USMTS Wednesday
night with a heat and feature win. Shryock is a seven-time
national champion and the current point leader. He pocketed
$2,000 for the win. 105.7 WAPL and Forest County Potawatomi
sponsored the races. Matt Junio picked up the win for the IMCA-Style
Stockcars. He won $500 for his efforts. Eddie Anschutz used
the pole position to capture the IMCA-Style Hobby Stocks.
Anschutz won $250. Tim Jorgenson won $100 for his 4 cylinder
feature win.

Iowa’s USMTS #3 Kelly Shryock swept the action in the USMTS
Wednesday night with a heat and feature win. Shryock is a
seven-time national champion and the current point leader.
He pocketed $2,000 for the win.
Not only did
the father/son combo of #66 Jared Siefert and #25 Art
Siefert make the show on Wednesday night, but went
wheel-to-wheel in the race as well!

Multi-track
champion #72 Brian Mullen of Seymour, held of #19 Jeremie
Hedrick, Clintonville, momentarily in the night’s main
event. Hedrick came up through one a win in a consi race
to make the tough show.

IMCA Stockcar
#10 Matt Junio, Casco, joined IMCA Hobbystock winner #71

until the fall of the checkers in picking up the Hobby
Stock feature. |
Kelly Shryock led the 40 lap USMTS feature event from green
to checker and was never challenged. Shryock was able to
pull away from Jon Tesch on every restart and continued the
lengthen the lead every lap. Shryock eventually made it into
lap traffic but was never slowed in lapping cars. Tesch was
left for second but not without a fight from Tommy Myer.
Tesch kept his five car length lead on Myer until the
checkers. Shryock picked up the $2,000 for his win followed
by Tesch, Myer, Hortonville, WI’s Mike Wedelstadt, and Ryan
Ruter.
Dave Bouche led the opening lap of the IMCA-Style Stockcar
main event before Larry Karcz made the pass for the lead
using the inside. Karcz continued to lead from his pole
position starting spot but was quickly caught by Matt Junio.
Junio made his run on the top side of the track and was able
to catch more momentum off the corners that Karcz. Junio
took the lead on lap 8. Junio led the final ten laps and
pocketed $500.00 for the win. Karcz, Greg Gretz, Craig Paque,
and Dave Bouche rounded out the top 5. The feature was
caution free
Eddie Anschutz led from the drop of the green until the fall
of the checkers in picking up the Hobby Stock feature. Dave
DeGrave stayed on the back bumper of Anschutz the entire
feature. Anschutz never faltered and took home the $250
first place prize. DeGrave finished second followed by Keith
Kickbusch, Jeff Lautenbach, and Frank Paul.
Tim Jorgenson swept the action in the four cylinder
division. He won $100 for the feature win.
This Saturday Night S&B Trailer’s will be sponsoring the
races. Start time is 6 p.m. The IMCA Modifieds, IMCA
Stockcars, IMCA Hobby Stocks, Street Stocks, Bombers, and 4
cylinders will be in action. The Forest County Potawatomi
Thunderhill Raceway is located at the John Miles Fair Park
