28th, 2006; Sturgeon Bay, Wi- Eugene Gregorich showed
the goods when the correct time came to win the Budweiser IMCA
Stockcar feature. Gregorich traded the top spot with Charlie
Kroll over last ten laps but emerged on top.

The battle
for the Feature race lead was hot up front between #54 Benji
LaCrosse, Luxemburg, and #73 Dan Ratajczak of Frog Station.

Mod Rookie-of-the-Year #22x David Werbelow of Shawano got
off to another good year at the Hill with a heat win.

IMCA Stock
Car #4 Eugene Gregorich, Kewaunee, won a tight battle with
#8 Charlie Kroll, Algoma, on Saturday night in the feature
event.

Stock Car #4 Eugene Gregorich, Kewaunee, won a tight battle
with #8 Charlie Kroll, Algoma, on Saturday night in the
feature event. #52 Troy Muench, Green Bay made it three-way
for the lead for a short while.

One of the
heat winners on Saturday night’s Thunderhill Raceway’s IMCA
Stock Car heats was #17 Jeff “Pepe” Vlies.

Street
Stock #11v Von Eytcheson, Forest- ville, won his heat race.
Street
Stock #11v Von Eytcheson, Forestville, stalked #21 Mike King
jr. of Little Chute in the heat race. Eytcheson was able to
take the lead and win away from King.
IMCA Hobby
Stock #10 Brandon Peterson, Sturgeon Bay, tried to hold of
multi-year points champ #71 Ed Anschutz of Algoma in a heat
race Saturday night.
Ryan Eichert captured a Bomber heat race
before the rains came.

Four
Cylinder heat winner on at Thunder- hill Raceway was #118

Dan Rataczjak of Frog Station picked up the Tri-County
Heating IMCA Modified feature with a little help with mother
nature. Rataczjak battled with Benji Lacrosse throughout the
shortened event.
The Feature events for the Olson Fabrication IMCA Hobby Stocks,
D.C. Custom Drilling and Blasting Street Stocks, Bombers, and 4
cylinder events were cancelled due to rain.
Shawn Havel set the pace for the first few laps until a series
of cautions plagued the race. Eugene Gregorich was able to get a
good jump on the final restart and shoot past Havel coming out
of turn 2. Charlie Kroll quickly followed suit and the two began
their side by side battle. With Kroll working the inside and
Gregorich on the outside the battle was on. Kroll was able to
edge ahead every other lap but Gregorich would storm back on the
top side. At the white flag the two were neck and neck.
Gregorich got a good run off of turn two and was able to carry
the momentum to the checkered flag and the points lead. Kroll
finished second followed by Troy Muench, Jeff Vlies, and Dave
Bouche.
Benji Lacrosse jumped out to the early lead in the Tri-County
Heating IMCA Modified feature event. Dan Rataczjak quickly
caught him on the inside. The two went side by side with
Lacrosse gaining the lead right at the line every lap. A series
of cautions stopped the race. On the next restart going through
turns one and two Lacrosse checked up and spun around when there
was contact with Randy Lemieux Jr. The caution fell and the rain
came. Rataczjak was awarded the win with Jeremy Jacobs second.
Kevin Sternard finished third followed by Matt Mcdermid.
The IMCA Hobby Stock, Street Stock, Bomber and 4 cylinder
feature events were rained out.
Next Saturday Night is Lakes Gas Night. The Forest County
Potowatomi Thunderhill Raceway is located at the John Miles Fair
Park in Sturgeon Bay, WI.
