Bay, WI. - This Saturday night, April 30th, Forest County Potawatomi
Thunderhill Speedway is set for their season opener, which is sponsored by WDOR.
This year will mark the 13th season for Thunderhill Speedway. In action will be the IMCA
Modified, IMCA Stockcar, IMCA Hobbystock, Street Stock, Thunderbomb, and 4 cylinder
classes. In the IMCA Modified class, Jeremy Jacobs, from Algoma, will be looking to
collect his second straight title. Craig Paque, also of Algoma, is looking to make it two
in a row, and four out of five years with the IMCA Stockcar championship. Eddie The
Flying Eagle Anschutz, out of Algoma, has his sights set on another IMCA Hobbystock
title. After a 1 point margin of victory over Jeremy Wiitala in 2004, Aaron Thornton is
trying for his second Street Stock crown. Kenny Malcore is looking for an unprecedented
third championship in the 4 cylinder class.
Last weekends practice was a huge success for all drivers. The track was beautiful and
very fast throughout the night. The race cars from last weeks practice were judged, and
awards for best appearing cars will be given away in all divisions this Saturday night
before the races begin.
Each Saturday night, racing will start at 6 pm. In addition, a $10,000 point fund will be
awarded at the annual awards banquet. Thunderhill Speedway is located at the John Miles
