with #2 Kenny Malcore and continued to lead and won his second feature in a row.

The Wulf Brother’s IMCA Stockcar feature event had six different leaders throughout the race. Larry Karcz led the opening five laps, until he was taken over by Ben Kroll. Greg Gretz led a lap, only to have Jeff Vlies immediately take over and lead the next lap. Charlie Kroll and Craig Paque then made the pass on Vlies to take the top two spots. On lap 12, Charlie Kroll blew his motor, turning the lead to Craig Paque. With three laps to go Ben Kroll made a move to the high-side. The top two swapped spots until the white flag flew. With Paque down low, Ben Kroll kept his car on the top side. At the finish line, Paque edged Ben Kroll by 1/2 car length. Rounding out the top 5 were Gretz, Vlies, and Gregorich. “It was nice to win my first feature of the season. I hope the fans liked the burnouts I did in front of the grandstand.” Craig Paque’s reaction to his win. Heat winners earlier in the evening where Karcz, Vlies, and Jamie Suchocki.

Roger Laviolette led the opening laps of the Mays Sport Center IMCA Hobby Stock main event, until Tom Brumlic took the lead on lap 3. He used the high line to get around Laviolette and then set sail. The battle for second was between Laviolette, Tony Schlei, and Eddie Anschutz. Brumlic continued to dominate, and won his first feature win of the season. Laviolette finished second. Anschutz made a last corner pass to finish third over Schlei. When asked how he knew the high side was the fastest he responded, “ It looked like there was some good traction on top so I decided to use it.” He also responded, “Tony Schei helped me set-up my car this week and it really helped.” Heat winners where Jeff Lautenbach and Brandon Peterson.

Anthony Herbst led the opening four laps of the Budweiser IMCA Modified A Main, until Randy Lemieux Jr. took over on lap 4. Lemieux continued to lead through a series of cautions, which fell midway through the race. On the restart, Matthias and Siefert stayed on the back bumper of Lemieux. Lemieux was able to pull away with on the bottom side
of the track. With six laps to go, Matthias caught Lemieux and threw the car into turn one. Matthias went too low and clipped a tire in turn two. Siefert then attempted to pass down low, but Lemieux was too tough. Lemieux went on to win his first feature of the season, followed by Siefert, Eric VanIten and Todd Dart. “The track was really fast down low. Matthias gave me one heck of a run. It was nice to win my first feature win of the season.” Lemieux’s response to his win. Heat winners where Anthony Herbst, Scott Derenne, and Jared Siefert.

Todd Polster led the opening laps of the Dairy Queen Street Stock feature. Von Eytcheson and Aaron Thornton gave chase behind Polster. Eytcheson made a pass on Polster on lap 4, only to have Polster come back down low. Polster re-gained the lead and pulled away by 3 car-lengths. Polster continued to lead, and won the 15 lap feature event.   Polster was followed at the checkers by Eytcheson, Thornton and Jeremy Wiitala. “Von was really fast along with Thornton. I just hugged the tires, knowing they couldn’t get around me down low. I didn’t think there was enough grip on the high-side to make the pass.” Todd Polster on his second feature win of the season.

Tyler Smith took the lead after contact with Kenny Malcore, Kip Burlo and Tom Zastow on lap 2. The four cars entered turn one; Malcore got into Zastrow and almost spun Smith around. “I really thought I was going around. It was so much fun racing four wide for the lead. The track was really good for racing like this.” Tyler Smith’s response when asked about the contact while he was making the pass for the lead. Smith continued to lead and won his second Door County Motorsports 4 cylinder feature in a row. He was followed at the checkers by Malcore, and Burlo.
