Green Bay's Jared Siefert captured his first track championship in the IMCA modified division. Siefert bested Dan Ratajczak and George Henkel, who finished second and third, respectively. Siefert plans to defend his crown when the doors swing open for a practice session under the lights Saturday night, April 26.

Algoma's Craig Paque won his second straight IMCA stock car title over Benji LaCrosse and Bernie Reinhardt. Paque will defend his title this year.

Sturgeon Bay's Kevin Sternard won the street stock championship. Sternard will move up to the IMCA modified division in 2003, opening up the door to a new champion this year. Aaron Thornton placed second in the final points while Kevin Jandrin placed third. Scott Reinhardt claimed the bomber title over Wayne Moore and Corey Haen. Reinhardt's title will go down in the history books as the last ever for the division as the class will become the IMCA hobby stock division this year.

The season begins Saturday night, May 3 at 6 p.m. IMCA modifieds, stock cars, hobby stocks, street stocks and a new, four cylinder division will compete weekly. Thunder Hill Raceway is located at John Miles Park (formerly the Door County Fairgrounds) in Sturgeon Bay.
