(Sturgeon Bay, WI) July 12 Press Release- This Saturday July 13 we head into night No. 7 as Thunderhill Raceway sets too pay tribute to long time track supporter Terry Simon with the 2nd Annual Terry Simon Memorial. Terry and his wife Darlene have literally been a mainstay at Thunderhill always sitting in the same seats every weekend in the grandstand while cheering on their favorite drivers. Its been a little over a year and half since we sadly lost such a great man. Saturdays night of racing will be dedicated in his memory. The friendly folks at Jim Olson Motors will be hosting the nightly events and the Street Stocks will be in the spot light with driver introductions.

A quick turn around for drivers as Thunderhill sets to host The Badger Stock Car Tour for the Thursday Night Thunder special on July 17 with a 7pm start time. This will be the second stop of the week for the BST series as they will be racing at Seymour on Wednesday and Oshkosh on Friday. The driver who has the best point average of those 3 nights will be crowned the Iron Man champ and take home $1000. We encourage all of our loyal Thunderhill fans to follow the BST Iron Man challenge and watch the best in the Stock Car division compete. Each night the BST is paying $500 to win the feature.

Our Thursday Night Thunder special will also have IMCA Sport Mods and Street Stocks in action. The Sport Mods will be racing for IMCA National, Regional and State points. It will not be a track point night for any division. Reminder our Thursday show starts at 7pm. Pit passes will be $25, adult admission will be $12 and senior admission will be $10.

It will be 3 nights of racing in only 2 weeks. All 5 divisions will be back in action Saturday July 20 for our regular scheduled point night brought to you by Reinhardt Construction featuring GO BO night with a kids bike give-away.

Five divisions do battle every Saturday night through the summer. IMCA Modified, IMCA Stock Car, IMCA Northern Sport Mod, IMCA Hobby Stock and Street Stocks will compete on the 1/3rd mile clay oval. HISTORIC NIGHT FOR LEMIEUX

(Sturgeon Bay, WI – 7/29/2015)
