2012 THUNDERHILL STATS / WEEK 10 PREVIEW / ONLY 4 POINT NIGHTS LEFT

(Sturgeon Bay, WI) Prestige Yacht Coatings Thunderhill Raceway heads for the finish line in the 2012 racing season. Of the six point leaders only 1 has a track title to their credit, that being Troy Muench in the IMCA Stock Cars. He holds titles in the Stock Cars and Street Stocks. Other division leaders are James Tebon (IMCA Modified), Jarred VanLaanen (IMCA Sport Mod), Tom Brumlic (IMCA Hobby Stock) & Joey Scoon (Feisty Fours) each eying their first career titles.

Racing is back this Saturday, August 11 for the Powder Puff Races brought to you by Quietwoods RV. All details for the Powder Puff are available on the track website in a previous press release.

136 cars have taken the green flag as we head into night #10. Of those 136 drivers, 35 have taken home feature wins and 44 of them took home heat race wins. In the IMCA Modifieds James Tebon leads the division and all classes with 5 feature wins. Other feature winners in the Modifieds Dan Ratajczak, Todd Dart and Tyler Hackett each have one win a piece. Tebon leads the standings with a 23 point lead over Billy LeMieux. Eric Arneson is the leading Rookie of the Year.

Shawn Havel has been the only repeat winner in the IMCA Stock Cars with 2 wins to his credit. Greg Gretz, Troy Muench, Charlie Kroll, Rick Dix, Devin Snellenberger and Bret Koehler each have 1 feature win. Muench leads the standings with a 9 point edge over Dave Bouche. Marcus Moede is the leading Rookie of the Year.

Bernie Reinhardt is the only racer with multiple wins in the highly contest IMCA Sport Mods with 3 victories. Randy LeMieux Jr., Jarred VanLaanen, Dennis Miesler, Kelsey Hayes, Ryan LeMieux and Todd Wiese have 1 win a piece. VanLaanen leads the division with a 12 point edge over Reinhardt. Brandon Peterson is the leading Rookie of the Year.

Three drives hold 2 features wins the IMCA Hobby Stocks they are, Scott Boulanger, CJ Weckler and Travis Hackett. Tom Brumlic and Derek Moede each have 1. Moede has chopped away at Brumlic’s lead sitting just 13 points back. As of two weeks ago that lead was at 20. Brittany King is the leading Rookie of the Year.

Todd Polster leads the Street Stocks with 4 feature wins on the year, Geno Sternard has 2, either of them raced opening. Those two are the only repeat winners. Dennis Weidner and Marcus Moede each have 1 feature win. Weidner leads the standings with by 11 points over Jimmy Anderson. Jason Barfell is the leading Rookie of the Year.

In Feisty Fours Joey Scoon holds a division high 2 feature wins, Calvin Stueck, Alex Wendt and Matt Sargent hold one win a piece. Scoon holds a commanding 34 point lead over Sargent.

(Sturgeon Bay, WI) May 16, 2015 Results- “Hot Rod” Snellenberger capitalized on a late race restart to score the victory in the IMCA Stock Cars at Thunderhill Raceway. Other feature winners were Todd Dart (IMCA Modified), Bernie Reinhardt (IMCA Sport Mod), Marcus Moede (IMCA Hobby Stock), Billy LeMieux (Street Stock).

Next Saturday, May 23 the IMCA Stock Cars will be racing for $1000 to win.

(Sturgeon Bay, WI) May 9, 2015 Results- Last night at Thunderhill Raceway a pair cagey veterans in Tony Bouche and Charlie Kroll squared off. Bouche was able to put his 38 years of racing knowledge to good use as he out dueled Kroll late in the going to score a popular win in the IMCA Stock Cars. Other feature winners were Greg Gretz (IMCA Modified), Cody Rass (IMCA Sport Mod), Dave Schmidt (IMCA Hobby Stock) and James Dahlstrom (Street Stock)
