ALL MODIFIED DRIVERS WILL BE ELIGIBLE FOR THE $500 “KING OF THE HILL” TOURNAMENT JULY 30

(Sturgeon Bay, WI) July 24 – Every IMCA Modified driver that enters the gate this Saturday July 30 will automatically be entered into the “King of The Hill” tournament at Prestige Yacht Coatings Thunderhill Raceway. The nightly events will be brought to you by Sturgeon Bay’s Quietwoods RV & Campgrounds.

“A late change to this years format will benefit all drivers and give them a chance at the $500 pay day.” Stated Woody.

Right now the tournament is scheduled to take place at intermission, two drivers on the track at a time racing for 2 laps with the winner moving to the next round until a winner is crowned. As of right now the winner will take home a guaranteed $500, Woody is hard at work trying to find additional funding to raise the winners share. The “King of The Hill” tournament is being bought to you by Luxemburg’s Packerland Whey. The night will be a regular point night and the tournament will have NO baring on the point standings. It is regular admission for the pits and grandstand.

In 2009 former Wisconsin State Champion Tim Czarneski took home the $500 and in 2010 Tony Wedelstadt took top honors.

IMCA Modified, IMCA Stock Car, IMCA Northern Sport Mod, IMCA Hobby Stock, Street Stock and Feisty Fours in action. Pit gates open at 3:30 P.M. racing starts at 6:00 P.M. (Sturgeon Bay, WI) May 9, 2015 Results- Last night at Thunderhill Raceway a pair cagey veterans in Tony Bouche and Charlie Kroll squared off. Bouche was able to put his 38 years of racing knowledge to good use as he out dueled Kroll late in the going to score a popular win in the IMCA Stock Cars. Other feature winners were Greg Gretz (IMCA Modified), Cody Rass (IMCA Sport Mod), Dave Schmidt (IMCA Hobby Stock) and James Dahlstrom (Street Stock)
