$500 TO WIN “KING OF THE HILL” MODIFIED TOURNAMENT JUST TWO WEEKS AWAY AT THUNDERHILL RACEWAY

(Sturgeon Bay, WI) July 18 – In two shorts weeks Prestige Yacht Coatings Thunderhill Raceway will host the 3rd Annual King of the Hill Modified Tournament. The tournament will pay $500 to the winner and will take place at intermission courtesy of Packerland Whey.

The event will take place in two weeks on Saturday night July 30. We will take the top 2 out of each heat race and two provisional starters chosen by Packerland Whey. A total of 8 drivers will set the field. There will be only 2 cars on the track at a time to race each other for 2 laps. The winner of the 2 lap contest advances into the next round, until were down to the final 2 drivers. Again it will be a 2 lap dash with the winner taking home $500

It doesn’t matter if you have raced at Thunderhill this year or not, all drivers are eligible. Just finish top 2 in the heat and your automatically in the dash for cash. Past winners 2009 Tim Czarneski and in 2010 Tony Wedelstadt was picked as a provisional starter and upset the field taking home the win.

If additional sponsors can be found the purse will be raised. Heat races will be set by point average as it will still be a regular points night. No added cost at the back gate, standard fee to enter the pits. Cars must be IMCA legal.
