(Sturgeon Bay, WI) July 25 – The Door County Fair will feature a Thursday night show at Thunderhill Raceway on August 4. This will be the first of two fair specials taking place that week.
The IMCA Stock Cars will be racing for $1000 to win, 2nd $500, 3rd $375, 4th $200 and will pay $100 to start with a guaranteed purse. The night will feature a draw redraw format and will be IMCA sanctioned. The night will be for State, Regional and National points. It is NOT a track point night.
Joining the Stock Cars will be the MSA Winged Sprint cars who put on a great show last year, racing 3 and 4 wide on the 1/3 mile clay oval. The Midwest Legend cars will be making their first ever appearance at Thunderhill.
Special thanks to Peil Construction, Total Lawn Car, Bleys Bar, Denil Auto & Trucking, Cater Plumbing, Mobile Detailing, Custom Seal Coating and Reinhardt Construction. All these Door County business’s have stepped up and pitched in to raise the pay for the Stock Cars and allowing the pay scale to remain solid through the entire field.
Pit gate prices will be $25 for a pit pass and a $20 for the entry fee for the Stock Cars. Note no other regular divisions are running this night.
Prices to get in the fair if you don’t want to ride the Tilt-A-Whirl will cost $5 and the grandstand will be $8. Making a total of only $13 to see some of the areas best drivers compete.
