(Sturgeon Bay, WI) June 23 – The IMCA Hobby Stocks will be in the spot light on Wicked Witch Enterprises night at Prestige Yacht Coatings ThunderHill Raceway this Saturday June 5 . Time permitting we will have driver intro’s for the Hobby Stock feature.
Luke Lemmens is eying first title as he sits with a 15 point lead in the hobby stocks over defending champion Frank Paul. With his second feature win of the season Brandon Peterson moved into the third spot 16 back.
Current point leader Todd Dart came from deep in the field after breaking a shock in his heat race. Dart would rally late and finishing in the top 4. Extending his point lead over Jay Matthias to 6 points.
Stockcar co-point leaders Troy Muench and John Heinz would both encounter trouble which would cost both of the point lead as Greg Gretz picked up his second win of the season. With the win Gretz is now the new point leader putting Muench 4 back and Heinz 5 back.
Jesse Kroll is leading the points for the first time in his career in the sport mods. He’s locked in a dog fight with Eric Arneson who sits 1 point back and 3 time feature winner Brad Lautenbach is 7 back.
Geno Sternard took over the points lead in the street stocks as James Bosman was caught up in a opening lap crash, sending him to the pits. Bosman now sits 7 back.
Jeremy DuBois came in the co-point leader in the 4 cyl’s, but with the win now holds a 2 point lead over Mike Sargent.
Thunderhill is located at the John Miles Fair Park on Sturgeon Bay’s east side with racing in the six divisions beginning every Saturday night through the summer. With IMCA modifieds, stock cars, hobby stocks, northern sport mods, street stocks & 4 cylinders in action. Pit gates open at 4:00pm, racing starts at 6:00 PM.
