Weekly Notes:
Green Bay’s, John Sternard made heavy contact with the front stretch wall Saturday night. John would escape with only a few bumps and bruises, but was still sore mid week. His racecar on the other hand suffered heavy front end damage and had to be removed for the racing surface with two wreckers. Several local race teams have pitched in to help John get his racer back together. The Sternard Racing Crew led by father Les and son Kevin have been working steady to repair the 76 car. It’s still unclear if the car will be ready for action this Saturday.
Tyler Hackett ended up on his roof mid way through the IMCA Sport Mod feature. The Rookie out of Algoma emerged with out injury, but his racer was done for the night. Tyler’s car suffered a bent rear end housing, 3 flat tires and several broken suspension parts. “It could have been a lot worse.” Stated Tyler; “We’ve been working non stop on the car and its about 90% back together and we will be ready for racing this weekend.”
Action will heat up with IMCA modifieds, stock cars, hobby stocks, northern sport mods, street stocks & 4 cylinders in action. Pit gates open at 4pm, racing starts at 6pm.
