7-TIME NHRA TOP FUEL CHAMPION TONY SCHUMACHER WILL BE AT THUNDERHILL SATURDAY SEPT. 11 FOR A MEET AND GREET

(Sturgeon Bay, WI) September 8 – 7-Time NHRA Top Fuel Champion “The Sarge” Tony Schumacher will be on hand, for day number two of the September 10 & 11 Fall Classic at Prestige Yacht Coatings ThunderHill Raceway.

Schumacher is the defending Full Throttle NHRA Top Fuel Dragster Champion and currently sits 3rd in points eyeing his 8th career title. He is the first driver in NHRA history to win six consecutive Top Fuel Championships.

Schumacher will be available with paid admission for Saturday nights event on September 11. The Sarge will be signing autographs and greeting fans underneath the grandstands from 3 pm to ? He will have a full variety of apparel and souvenirs available for purchase.

Top Fuel Dragsters are powered by a 500 Cubic Inch Engines that makes a staggering 8000 (eight thousand) Horsepower. In comparison to our IMCA Modifieds which make between 450 to 550 Horsepower. Schumacher’s Army sponsored Dragster runs the 1000 foot drag strip in just under 4 seconds (just under a ¼ mile). Reaching speeds over 320 Miles Per Hour.

To put it in prospective, a NHRA Top Fuel Dragster accelerates quicker than any other land vehicle on earth , quicker than a jet fighter plane and quicker than the space shuttle.

The Fall Classic will qualify 10 cars Friday and 10 cars Saturday per division. Fastrak Late Models and Modifieds will be racing for $1000 to win, Stock Cars $700, Sport Mods $700, Street Stocks & Hobby Stocks $400 and 4-Cylinders $150. Payout based on 25 mods, 30 stocks, 30 sport mods, 25 streets, 22 hobbies and 20 4cyl. Saturdays features will be followed by a $250 to win Trailer Race of Destruction and $100 to the Best Appearing vehicle/trailer combo. Grandstand admission as follows. Friday – Adults $8, Senior Citizens and Students (13-16) $6, Kids (6-12) $2. Saturday – Adults $12, Senior Citizens and Students (13-16) $10, Kids (6-12) $3, Kids 5 & Under Free both nights.

We will be offering a special half-off grandstand admission to any Police, Fire & EMT showing their badge or ID. This special ticket pricing is done to show our support of Law Enforcement, Fire Protection and Paramedics who put their lives on the line each and every day for our community. We ask that you please come and support are local heroes.

There will be entertainment both nights at ThunderHill and for those who have seen the entertainment over the years, you know your in for a good time. We will have the live band of “Dow Jones” playing your favorite hits Friday Night and the “Unknown DJ” Saturday Night. Camping is available on fair grounds for the cost of $20 per night.

Single day pit passes will be $30, 2-day passes are $50. (Driver entry fees not included in pit pass) Entry fees per division: Mods $25, Stock Cars $20, Sport Mod, Street Stock and Hobby Stock $15.

Pit Gates will open at 1:30pm both days. Pit stalls can be reserved for $20, otherwise open parking. Sign in cutoff will be 5:30pm Friday and 4:00pm Saturday.

Thunderhill is located at the John Miles Fair Park on Sturgeon Bay’s east side with racing in the six divisions beginning every Saturday night through the summer. (Sturgeon Bay, WI) August 9, 2015 Results- Tony Bouche made a last lap, last corner pass on Jamie Suchocki to steal the win in the IMCA Stock Cars at Thunderhill Raceway. Other feature winners were Todd Dart (IMCA Modified), Vince Engebregtsen (IMCA Sport Mod), Ford Malvitz (IMCA Hobby Stock), Billy LeMieux (Street Stock) and Tory Peterson (Thunder Truck). Chances are, Billy LeMieux will long remember the last week of July, 2015.

After winning two features on Sunday, he came back to repeat the feat Wednesday night as Thunderhill Raceway’s program shifted to midweek to open the Door County Fair.

(Sturgeon Bay, WI)- Billy Lemieux was a star studded Man in Door County over the weekend. Not only did he rank in 135th place out of 160 players at the M.A.C Softball tournament; He decided to double up on Feature wins at Thunderhill Raceway on Sunday night.
