May 5, 2009; Sturgeon Bay, WI – With the 2009 racing season right around the corner, Prestige Yacht Coatings Thunderhill Raceway’s website has received a big overhaul.
The new look was put together by Chris Budzban of budzodesigns.com, whom also handles the public relations duties of the track. “When I took over the website duties last year, I did everything the hard way. This year I’ve added functions which allow fans to become more involved and ‘in the flow’ along with a more user-friendly look,” said Budzban.
More features will be added to the website during the season, such as track announcer Eddie “The Eagle” Anschutz’s questionnaire for weekly competitors at Thunderhill. “It’s great to find out what drivers do when they aren’t racing,” said Anschutz. “I tried to make the drivers think about the questions, instead of a simple ‘yes’ or ‘no’ answer.”
Current features include an RSS feed, Facebook page and also the ability to follow updates via Twitter. “The ability to update the fans and drivers on weather or announcements per Facebook & Twitter within seconds is a great tool,” said Budzban. “It’s like a mass text message to all of your contacts.”
The website address remains the same, www.racethunderhill.com. The 2009 season kicks off this Saturday night, May 9 and features weekly action from the IMCA modifieds, stock cars, hobby stocks, northern sport mods, NEW super stocks and 4 cylinders.
