(Possible Make Up Dates Under Consideration)
(Sturgeon Bay, WI) April 25, 2013- Thunderhill Raceway has once again been forced to halt practice for Saturday April 27. Several track works and management surveyed the pit area and track surface. They all agreed it’s still to wet and soft. They still attempted to get on the track only to realize if they went any further, they would’ve gotten stuck.
We don’t want to see anyone wreck their cars. We are going the safe route in hopes of having a solid race surface when the green flag drops on our 2013 season. We are still looking at other possible dates to hold a practice before opening night, so stay tuned.
Five divisions do battle every Saturday night through the summer. IMCA Modified, IMCA Stock Car, IMCA Northern Sport Mod, IMCA Hobby Stock and Street Stocks will compete on the 1/3rd mile clay oval.
For more information, please visit the track’s website at www.racethunderhill.com. Thunderhill is located at the John Miles Fair Park on Sturgeon Bay’s east side. Pit gates open at 3:30 P.M. racing starts at 6:00 P.M. For your social media outlet, like Thunderhill Raceway on Facebook and follow us on Twitter.Tweet
