PRESTIGE YACHT COATINGS THUNDERHILL RACEWAY DRIVERS, SPONSORS AND FANS APPRECIATION PARTY JAN 15. AT THE BULL PEN BAR & GRILL

(Sturgeon Bay, WI) December 2, 2010 – Prestige Yacht Coatings will kick off the New Year with a bang holding its first ever driver, sponsor, fan and employee appreciation party.

The party will take place on Saturday January 15 at the Bull Pen Bar & Grill located in Forestville. The appreciation party is open to anyone who wants to attend and will begin at 6PM.

Free beer will be provided and a DJ will be on hand for music. There will be a boat load of door prizes, raffles and giveaways!

“I can’t thank each and every person enough that supports ThunderHill Raceway, having the get together is just a small token of my appreciation.” Stated track promoter, Brian “Woody” Wodack. “I’m wanting to kick the 2011 season off early, and I hope to see everyone out for what should be a good time.”

TRACK CHAMPIONS HONORED AT THUNDERHILL RACEWAY AWARDS BANQUET

(Sturgeon Bay, WI) November 6 – Track Champions were honored at the Prestige Yacht Coatings ThunderHill Raceway Awards Banquet.

The awards ceremony took place at the Ladder House Sports Bar & Grill with a total of 162 guests on hand. The top-5 in each division and the Rookies of the Year received awards. Along with a sportsman award that was voted on by the drivers. Each driver in attendance received a free pit pass for the upcoming season.

The IMCA Modified crown went to De Pere‘s “Big Money” Jay Matthias. Jay scored 7 top-5’s, 14 top-10’s and one feature win on his way too his first career track championship.

The IMCA Stock Car crown went to Co-Champions, Kewaunee’s Greg Gretz and Forestville’s “Chargin’” Charlie Kroll. Gretz scored 11 top-5’s, 12 top-10’s and earned 2 feature wins. Kroll scored 10 top-5’s, 14 top’s 10’s with 2 feature wins. This was Gretz’s first track title, with Kroll taking his second at ThunderHill Raceway. Green Bay’s Jeremy Wiitala was the Rookie of the Year.

The IMCA Sport Mod crown went to Oconto Falls, Eric “Chummy Arneson. Arneson scored 9 top-5’s and a division high 15 top-10’s enroot to his first ThunderHill title. Sturgeon Bay’s Kelsy “Hollywood” Hayes took home Rookie of the Year honors.

The IMCA Hobby Stock crown went to Kewaunee’s Luke Lemmens. Lemmens scored 11 top-5’s, 17 top-10’s and a division high 5 feature wins. Racing at all area tracks Lemmens was also able to take home the Wisconsin State Championship. Algoma’s Travis Hackett took home Rookie of the Year honors.

The Street Stock crown went to Sturgeon Bay’s Geno Sternard. Sternard 10 top-5’s, a division high 17 top-10’s and 3 feature wins. This was Sternard’s first career track title. Rookie of the year honors went to Green Bay’s Tony Everard.

The Four Cylinder crown went to Sturgeon Bay’s Jeremy DuBois. DuBois earned 15 top-5’s, 16 top-10’s and a division high 9 feature wins. This was DuBois’s first career track title. Sturgeon Bay’s Joey Scoon earned Rookie of the Year Honors.

Sportsman of the Year went to Billy Hayes.

Their will be a drivers meeting for the 2011 racing season on Wednesday, November 17 at the Ladder House Sports Bar & Grill at 7pm.

THUNDERHILL RACEWAY DRIVERS MEETING WEDNESDAY NOV. 17

(Sturgeon Bay, WI) October 18 – Prestige Yacht Coatings ThunderHill Raceway will hold a drivers meeting for the 2011 racing season on Wednesday, November 17 at the Ladder House Sports Bar & Grill at 7pm.

Items up for discuss but not limited to will be class reps, rules, and drivers will be able to purchase the first and second row pit spots. Pit spots will be the same price as last year, unpaid spots will be raffled and sold after the meeting.

PRESTIGE YACHT COATINGS RETURNS AS TITLE SPONSOR AT THUNDERHILL RACEWAY

(Sturgeon Bay, WI) October 17 – Prestige Yacht Coatings will once again return as the track title sponsor at ThunderHill Raceway in 2011.

“I grew up in Door County, and I’ve always been a huge fan of racing at ThunderHill.” stated; Joe Hernandez owner of Prestige Yacht Coatings. “Supporting the track is a great way to give back to the community and show appreciation to all the drivers who put on a great show each and every Saturday night.”

Prestige Yacht Coatings has been the title sponsor at ThunderHill Raceway since 2009. Prestige Yacht Coatings is located in Sturgeon Bay, Wisconsin and has added a location over seas in the United Arab Emirates, and is one of the world leaders in yacht coatings.

2011 Prestige Yacht Coatings ThunderHill Raceway Schedule

(Sturgeon Bay, WI) October 15 – Prestige Yacht Coatings ThunderHill Raceway 2011 official schedule release. The 2011 season will have 19 IMCA Sanctioned point nights along with the Fair Special and 2-day Fall Classic.

ThunderHill will start its season with a Car Show & Practice on April 23. The Saturday night point shows will start on April 30 and end with Championship night on September 3.

The Fair special will return on August 6. The 2-day fall classic will also return on September 9 & 10. Schedule is subject to change.

2010 Track Champions are Jay Matthias (IMCA Modifieds), Greg Gretz and Charlie Kroll (IMCA Stock Car), Eric Arneson (IMCA Sport Mod), Luke Lemmens (IMCA Hobby Stock), Geno Sternard (Street Stock), Jeremy DuBois (Four-Cylinder).

Rookie of the Years honors will also be awarded with the top 5 in points in each class will be receiving awards.

Cash Bar at 6pm with dinner at 7pm, awards to follow. Cost per person is $22. Tons of giveaways and door prizes. Music to be provided by the Unknown DJ’s.

ATTENTION: THUNDERHILL FALL CLASSIC DATE CHANGED TO THIS SUNDAY SEPT. 19

(Sturgeon Bay, WI) September 16 – Prestige Yacht Coatings ThunderHill Raceway has changed the date and time for day #2 of the Fall Classic, racing will now take place on Sunday, September 19. With a 5:00pm start time.

Woody stated; “After numerous calls from drivers about running on Sunday, and when looking at the forecast for the upcoming week, I had no choice but to change dates and hope for the best.” “I understand this is very short notice and I apologize for the change, but Sunday gives us the best chance to race.”

The nightly event will kick off at 5pm. All divisions still have 10 feature spots available, with the Street Stocks still having 14 spots open. Last Chance Qualifiers will start the night with the Modifieds, Stock Cars, Northern Sport Mods, Street Stocks, Hobby Stocks and 4 cylinders, followed by the event’s feature races. Line-ups established Friday night for the qualified cars will carry forward to Wednesday. Teams not in attendance Friday will be able to run the Last Chance Qualifiers.

Modifieds will be racing for $1000 to win, Stock Cars $700, Sport Mods $700, Street Stocks & Hobby Stocks $400 and 4-Cylinders $150. Payout based on 25 mods, 30 stocks, 30 sport mods, 25 streets, 22 hobbies and 20 4cyl. Wednesday nights events will be capped off with a $250 to win Trailer Race of Destruction.

Dan Lewis will have a full variety of photos on hand including 8×10 Fall Classic Portraits and Special Fall Classic Apparel inside the souvenir trailer.

Grandstand admission will be Adults $12, Senior Citizens and Students (13-16) $10, Kids (6-12) $3, Kids 5 & Under Free both nights.

Pit passes will be $30 for crew members and $50 for drivers. (Driver entry fees not included in pit pass) Entry fees per division: Mods $25, Stock Cars $20, Sport Mod, Street Stock and Hobby Stock $15. Pit gates open at 2:00pm, must be checked in by 4:30pm, racing starts at 5:00pm (You must have your wristband to enter, NO EXCEPTIONS.)

THUNDERHILL RACEWAY CANCELLED FOR TONIGHT SEPT. 15 / RESCHEDULED FOR WEDNESDAY SEPT. 22

(Sturgeon Bay, WI) September 15 – Prestige Yacht Coatings ThunderHill Raceway has again been forced to cancel due to rain for September 15.

Day #2 of the Fall Classic has now been rescheduled for Wednesday September 22. 6pm Start time.

Drivers who were not at night #1 are still eligible to race the last chance qualifiers. More information will be posted as it becomes available.

“Our goal is the end the season with a bang, we are going to do our best so mother nature doesn’t win this time” Said Bryan “Woody” Wodack.

RACING RESUMES WED. SEPT. 15 AT THUNDERHILL RACEWAY FOR DAY #2 OF THE FALL CLASSIC INCLUDING THE TRAILER RACE OF DESTRUCTION

(Sturgeon Bay, WI) September 13 – Racing will resume for day number 2 of the Fall Classic at Prestige Yacht Coatings ThunderHill Raceway on Wednesday, September 15. The night will be brought to you by Metals America, Tri County Heating, Full Force Archery and Butches Auto.

The nightly event will kick off at 6pm. All divisions still have 10 feature spots available, with the Street Stocks still having 14 spots open. Last Chance Qualifiers will start the night with the Modifieds, Stock Cars, Northern Sport Mods, Street Stocks, Hobby Stocks and 4 cylinders, followed by the event’s feature races. Line-ups established Friday night for the qualified cars will carry forward to Wednesday. Teams not in attendance Friday will be able to run the Last Chance Qualifiers.
