Thunderhill Raceway Canceled for 7/25

July, 25, 2009; Sturgeon Bay, WI – Thunderstorms and persistent rain showers have canceled tonight’s racing program for Prestige Yacht Coatings Thunderhill Raceway.

Racing will resume next week with Miller Lite night. Racing gets underway at 6pm with the regular racing program of IMCA modifieds, stock cars, hobby stocks, northern sport mods, NEW super stocks and 4 cylinders. For more information, visit www.racethunderhill.com or call (920) 743-7052.

Woody’s Signs and Econo Foods Sponsor “Christmas in July” Night at Thunderhill

July 23, 2009; Sturgeon Bay, WI – Woody’s Signs and Econo Foods of Sturgeon Bay will sponsor the annual “Christmas in July” themed event this Saturday night at Prestige Yacht Coatings Thunderhill Raceway.

Race teams are encouraged to dress up their race haulers with a Christmas theme, as prizes will be awarded to the best appearing rigs. The track and personnel will be donning Christmas decorations and apparel as well.

Racing begins at 6pm on Saturday evening with IMCA modifieds, stock cars, hobby stocks, northern sport mods, NEW super stocks and 4 cylinders hitting the 1/3 mile clay oval. …

June 17, 2009; Sturgeon Bay, WI – Prestige Yacht Coatings Thunderhill Raceway has a full plate of festivities for this Saturday’s racing program. Budweiser (Flanigan Distributing) and 97.7 The Big Dawg will co-sponsor the evening’s events.

All Budweiser products will be sold at the low price of $1 with a paid grandstand admission courtesy of Flanigan Distributing.

In addition, 97.7 The Big Dawg will be broadcasting live at the track starting at 4:30pm giving away prizes throughout the night including Country USA, Porterfield Countryfest, Hodag Festival and Fuddfest tickets.

June 10, 2009; Sturgeon Bay, WI – Due to last weekend’s race program succumbing to rain showers, 97.7 The Big Dawg will sponsor the June 20 program along with Budweiser at Prestige Yacht Coatings Thunderhill Raceway.

The Big Dawg will be out broadcasting live at the track starting at 4:30pm and will be giving away tickets to various country music shows and festivals.

June 6, 2009; Sturgeon Bay, WI – Light rain showers soaked the track all afternoon at Prestige Yacht Coatings Thunderhill Raceway, and they weren’t letting up anytime soon.

May 7, 2009; Sturgeon Bay, WI – The 2009 season at Prestige Yacht Coatings Thunderhill Raceway gets underway this Saturday night, May 9 at 6pm, sponsored by WDOR 93.9. IMCA modifieds, stock cars, hobby stocks, sport mods, NEW super stocks and 4 cylinders will compete weekly through the month of August.

“This year is going to be a no-frills year for the track,” said track promoter Bryan “Woody” Wodack. “We’re going to come here to race our weekly program and have a good time.”

New Season, New Website for Thunderhill

May 5, 2009; Sturgeon Bay, WI – With the 2009 racing season right around the corner, Prestige Yacht Coatings Thunderhill Raceway’s website has received a big overhaul.

The new look was put together by Chris Budzban of budzodesigns.com, whom also handles the public relations duties of the track. “When I took over the website duties last year, I did everything the hard way. This year I’ve added functions which allow fans to become more involved and ‘in the flow’ along with a more user-friendly look,” said Budzban.

51 Cars Attend Thunderhill Practice Session

May 2, 2009; Sturgeon Bay, WI – A total of 51 cars showed up at the Prestige Yacht Coatings Thunderhill Raceway for an afternoon practice session. The practice, along with a car show earlier in the day, was sponsored by 97.7 The Big Dawg radio station.

Winners of the car show were Ryan LeMieux in the IMCA modifieds, Don Aregoni in the IMCA stock cars, CJ Weckler in the IMCA hobby stocks, Shawn LeMieux in the IMCA northern sport mods, Jeremy Wiitala in the NEW super stocks and Kipp Burlo in the 4 cylinders.

(Sturgeon Bay, WI) August 9, 2015 Results- Tony Bouche made a last lap, last corner pass on Jamie Suchocki to steal the win in the IMCA Stock Cars at Thunderhill Raceway. Other feature winners were Todd Dart (IMCA Modified), Vince Engebregtsen (IMCA Sport Mod), Ford Malvitz (IMCA Hobby Stock), Billy LeMieux (Street Stock) and Tory Peterson (Thunder Truck). Chances are, Billy LeMieux will long remember the last week of July, 2015.

After winning two features on Sunday, he came back to repeat the feat Wednesday night as Thunderhill Raceway’s program shifted to midweek to open the Door County Fair.

(Sturgeon Bay, WI)- Billy Lemieux was a star studded Man in Door County over the weekend. Not only did he rank in 135th place out of 160 players at the M.A.C Softball tournament; He decided to double up on Feature wins at Thunderhill Raceway on Sunday night. Lemieux earned wins in both the IMCA Stockcar Feature and Street Stock Feature.
