McDermid Tops Mods; Two in a Row for Wiitala & Reinhardt at Thunderhill

May 31, 2008; Sturgeon Bay, WI – Julie McDermid of Oconto Falls passed Shawn Kilgore after a late restart to capture the IMCA modified feature at the Forest County Potawatomi Thunderhill Raceway. Jeremy Wiitala and Bernie Reinhardt each won their second consecutive features in the street stock and IMCA northern sport mod divisions, respectively.

Kilgore took a commanding lead from his front row starting spot in the modified feature, followed by James Tebon and McDermid. McDermid would get by Tebon, but Kilgore would hold his lead by a large distance. A late caution erased Kilgore’s lead and allowed…

May 24, 2008; Sturgeon Bay, WI – Fremont’s Mike Wedelstadt charged through the field of IMCA modifieds in his first appearance of the year and took home a commanding win at the Forest County Potawatomi Thunderhill Raceway.

Jay Matthias was the early race leader in the IMCA modifieds, with Shawn Kilgore and James Tebon racing side by side for second. May 17, 2008; Sturgeon Bay, WI – One night after Tim Czarneski rolled his IMCA modified, he took home the checkers at Thunderhill in his backup car. Jeff Vlies also took home his first career IMCA northern sport mod feature win.

James Tebon had the lead early on, but Czarneski took to the high side and reeled him in at the halfway point. May 10, 2008; Sturgeon Bay, WI – John Sternard and Aaron Holiday took home their first career feature wins in the street stock and IMCA northern sport mod divisions respectively on opening night at the Forest County Potawatomi Thunderhill Raceway.

Frog Station’s Dan Ratajczak took command early in the IMCA modified feature event, and built up a sizable lead on the rest of a field. (Sturgeon Bay, WI) August 9, 2015 Results- Tony Bouche made a last lap, last corner pass on Jamie Suchocki to steal the win in the IMCA Stock Cars at Thunderhill Raceway. Other feature winners were Todd Dart (IMCA Modified), Vince Engebregtsen (IMCA Sport Mod), Ford Malvitz (IMCA Hobby Stock), Billy LeMieux (Street Stock) and Tory Peterson (Thunder Truck). Chances are, Billy LeMieux will long remember the last week of July, 2015.

After winning two features on Sunday, he came back to repeat the feat Wednesday night as Thunderhill Raceway’s program shifted to midweek to open the Door County Fair.

Not only did he rank in 135th place out of 160 players at the M.A.C Softball tournament; He decided to double up on Feature wins at Thunderhill Raceway on Sunday night.
