1. Who was your favorite driver growing up?
Buck Schmelzer

2. Most memorable moment in racing?
My first ever night of racing, rolling over on the backstretch and destroying the car.

3. What’s your favorite food?
Orange Chicken

4. What do you drive for a street vehicle?
2005 Chevrolet Silverado 2500 HD

5. What or who got you into racing?
Watching my Uncle Buck growing up and The Bouche Family

6. How many years have you been racing?
6 years, but it seems a lot longer!

7. Most forgettable moment in racing?
2007 breaking 5 transmissions! We later found out it wasn’t the transmissions that were bad, but the gears that were bad causing a bad vibration breaking the transmission cases.

8. Who is your biggest rival/competition?
Dave Bouche

9. What’s your favorite movie?
Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles 1&3

10. If you weren’t racing, what hobby would you have?
A lot more Hunting and Fishing.

I wore #20 since 5th grade basketball & Tyler Vanlanen also wore #20 he was a guy that I looked up to when I was young.

Seymour Super Speedway

IMCA Hobby Stocks & IMCA Stockcar

18. What type of driver are you?
Mostly Angry

19. What type of track do you prefer?
Right before it goes dry, where there’s just a little bit of tack left

20. Why do you race?
Cause I’m not very smart, for all the money we stick into the cars. But it keeps me out of trouble. I tried to quit once and but I just came back. And it keeps me very busy.

HACKETT, HAVEL, DAHLSTROM & MOEDE REPEAT AT THUNDERHILL RACEWAY

(Sturgeon Bay, WI) June 21, 2015 Results- Shawn Havel took his Wolfe Racing Chassis IMCA Stock Car to victory for the second week in a row at Thunderhill Raceway. Other feature winners were Tyler Hackett (IMCA Modified), Jacob Zellner (IMCA Sport Mod), Marcus Moede (IMCA Hobby Stock) and James Dahlstrom (Street Stock).

Five members were inducted into the Thunderhill Raceway Hall of Fame. They were Wally Massart, Darrell Massart, Reggie Cochart, Jerry Jonet and George Henkel.

Next Sunday, June 28 will feature the Powder Puff and will be brought to you by NAPA Auto Parts of Sturgeon Bay. Racing…

HAVEL HUSTLES TO IMCA STOCK CAR WIN / ENGEBREGTSEN GETS FIRST VICTORY

(Sturgeon Bay, WI) Sunday, June 14 2015 Results- Shawn Havel used a late race restart to snatch victory from Scott Reinhardt in the IMCA Stock Cars at Thunderhill Raceway. Other feature winners were Tyler Hackett (IMCA Modified), Vince Engebregtsen (IMCA Sport Mod), Marcus Moede (IMCA Hobby Stock) and James Dahlstrom (Street Stock). A total of 73 cars we on hand for the new night as well as a solid crowd.

THUNDERHILL RACEWAY IS RACING THIS SUNDAY JUNE 7 AT 5:30PM

In a move to try and improve car count and fan attendance, Thunderhill Raceway has decided to move its Terry Simon Memorial to this Sunday June 7 with a new start time of 5:30pm. In action will be the IMCA Modifieds, IMCA Stock Cars, IMCA Sport Mods, IMCA Hobby Stocks, Street Stocks and the Thunder Trucks. Fans will receive free popcorn.
